On Monday, we had this visual language task that we had to complete. It had to be about the past, present and future. I learnt a lot about myself that I didn't really take notice in. On Tuesday we focused on using techniques in Tech Arts to make our jerseys in the next session. I learnt how to take my time and just focus on the technique you use to make a sweatshirt. On Wednesday we had the swimming heats for our school competition on March 3rd and the trials for WIMS Swimming. I really want to focus on breaking the record for 50m fly. I learnt that fly was my new best stroke and I was only four seconds off the NZ record. On Thursday we had photos and we found out who the head students were. ( Shout out to Stagea, Emma, Daniel, and Brylee.) I was really proud of all of them and we learnt a new song for kapahaka. On Friday I had this swimming competition (NZ Juniors) all weekend starting on Friday. I learnt that if your in the 2nd to last heat doesn't mean your gonna not get a medal. By working hard, I got two bronze medals.

NZ juniors 2017
For the last couple of days, I spent my time in Rotorua competing at the NZ juniors of the aqua knights zone. While I was over there, I spent a lot of my time making friends. There were over 300 swimmers over their so it seemed very unlikely to get a medal.
I competed in the
50m breaststroke
200m freestyle relay
50m freestyle- bronze
50m backstroke
50m fly- gold
100m Individual medley-bronze
100m backstroke
200 Individual medley
100m Freestyle
200m Individual medley relay
In three of those events, I got one gold medal and two bronze.
Gold- 50m fly
Bronze- 50m free
Bronze- 100 Individual medley
I was really proud because in most of my races, I was ranked 6th-10th and I still came a good placing or at least I moved up another four or five places forward.
The thing that I enjoyed the most was watching all the other great swimmers and there amazing times and NZ records. We also did a photo with all the Waikato kids and got a cap.
