On Monday we did practice for volleyball and learnt a couple of ways to hit the ball over the net. Then we did this fractions, decimals and percentages where I got most of them right but forgot some of them because I couldn't remember and I learnt them in Term 1 which sucked. I forgot how to find the how to round decimals to a certain number or decimal point. I also forgot about common denominator and not and decimal=subtraction, division algorithms.
On Tuesday we basically did Maths and Writing where I have to finish a note taking report on Giant Pandas. The thing I like about writing is that you get signatures for seeking excellence or never give up or the hardest one to me being honest. By being honest in your peer assessment gets you a signature that I really need right now. Doing a report on Giant Pandas is still cool though. My favourite thing today was Tech Arts because we just started a new class with Ms Tyson and we did a lot POEW. Poew is Predict, Observe, Explain and What If. We asked a lot of our Science Fair questions at the end.
On Wednesday was Music Camp rehearsal and the time when the Matamata and Cambridge schools came to our school for Music Camp in the categories of Senior Band, Junior band, Choir and the drum line which was my personal favourite thing of when it came to an end. We practiced all day from the middle block-7:30. During that time that we practiced in I think we did between 6-7 songs. Since I'm a soprano in the choir I had to sing a lot of high notes with all my other friends but it wasn't that big of a challenge. I caught up with a few girls that I met in the past which was cool. Mrs Kari and Whaea Rangi took us to sing these songs
Oh happy day
I can see clearly now
E te iwi e
Glorious
One call away
That's what friends are for
River of dreams
On my own
On Thursday we practiced those songs and a few more. We also worked on the harmonies for some of the songs so they could sound cool. After lunch we had a good time just to run through all the songs while listening to all the other things the other kids have been practicing for. When it came to the night, it was very scary but at the same time exciting. I enjoyed listening to all the pieces that kids presented and it was very cool. It wasn't that hard singing our songs but when it came to the end when we had to sing Some Nights with band at certain points we would be louder than them and they would be louder than us but it was cool singing with them for our last song of the night.
On Friday sport I practiced with majority of my team for Belmont Netball which cool because if we scored a goal the year 8's had to do one shuttle and believe you me they had to do a lot of them. Getting to know the positions and where suited was very good but on the other hand we still have a lot of other people that have their position so that's where gets interesting but that's the whole point of earning your spot.
I'll keep you guys updated on special events and my work that I'm learning.
Bye!!!!!

Well done. You are always so honest on what you have to share!! I wonder if you realise how much your writing has improved since you started this blog - there are still some mistakes that you haven't checked but you are writing with a lot more more fluency, honesty and reflection.
