They are the only five that have their bronze badge this year and hopefully their will be a few more.
I can't wait till the next assembly because I am getting my honesty band and now I'm only one signature away from my bronze badge.
That day I learnt how to find equivalent ratio. See what you do is you try and find the lowest common multiple and then just figure out away to change to simplest form.
Equivalent ratio is-
1:7=one seventh or 1/7
2:14=2 fourteens or 2/14,1/7
3:21=3 twentieths or 3/21,2/14,1/7
Simplest form is-
7:49=it would be changed into-1/7
4:12=it would be changed into-1/3
12:18=it would be changed into-2/3
After morning tea we were supposed to do volleyball in the ALC because it was our ALC time but Mr Mccabe started talking about this interesting news that I never knew about. He talked about how Japan have quite a big fish area in their markets and he thinks it's really appalling to see how many sea creatures die from just getting caught in these huge nets that basically just pick up anything between the area. They just every animal and if their not really needed then they just chuck them over board. He also talked about the Zika virus and how he thinks the Olympic games will not occur because of the money that they are greedy for. The Zika virus is an incurable virus that could give children bad image.
After lunch we did reading and writing.
Our reading had to be about a character analysis where we had to read a short story and write about the main character or two. My story was Eleven which is about a girl named Rachel who goes through a tough time talking her confidence not striving as everyone else. She expresses her emotions as here age such as when you want to cry that's the bit that makes
her feel like she's three or the part when she wants to sit on her mothers lap makes her feel like she's five. She is a unassertive character and also a static because through out the story she doesn't grow or get more confident.
For my WRITING I am doing a Giant pandas report
where we had to chose from various topics that Mrs Crowe thought were important. I chose to write about their
Diet
Description
Habitat
Life Cycle
The reason why I chose those is because I thought that all of them were vitally important and that they had a lot of information and places that I could expand so that they were longer. The introduction and the conclusion had to be the hardest part for me because you could barely put anything in those paragraphs.
On Tuesday we had Tech Arts where we had to finish our Marble run but we didn't so Ms Tyson is going to lend us half an hour at our next lesson. After morning tea I started on Science fair because I had nothing else to do. I have already finished my research notes and I'm going to start on my hypothesis. My question is
How does water temperature affect water freezing time?
I chose this topic because it was the first thing I saw that I knew that would stand out so that is why I chose it.
On Wednesday Mrs Crowe wasn't impressed when people hadn't finished their work on time when she gave us two extra days to finish it. First thing in the morning we had a Science where I thought that I did very well doing. I thought that it would be hard but it wasn't. After lunch we had
French where I learnt how to say how I feel in a real conversation.
Then we had Jump Jam where Mrs Bailey said that she was impressed by the fact that it is only the secound time learning our new routine and it looks like it ain't even new.
On Thursday we didn't have Extension Maori because Whaea Rangi was away. In Kapahaka we learnt the rest of the moteatea with Matua Matiu because whaea Rangi was away.
In choir we didn't have a conductor or barely any students but we still went ahead with it.
You SHINE!
